Throughout these Terms & Conditions, “CBG Heating”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Clear Blue Gas Ltd. “You” and “your” refer to the customer.

1. Quotations & Acceptance

Our quotations are based upon a visual, non-intrusive survey of the property and the information available at the time of the survey.
Unless otherwise stated:

  • Existing heating, plumbing, electrical and building systems are assumed to be in satisfactory condition.
  • Quotations remain valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
  • Works should commence within 90 days of acceptance.
  • We reserve the right to revise or withdraw quotations after this period.
  • Acceptance of our quotation constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.


2. Existing Systems

Existing pipework, radiators, valves, cylinders, underfloor heating systems, controls and electrical installations may contain defects that are not apparent during the survey.
Power flushing, boiler replacements, heat pump installations and system upgrades may expose existing weaknesses.
Any repairs required to existing systems are not included within the quotation unless specifically stated and may be chargeable.

3. Access & Property Preparation

The customer shall provide reasonable access to all areas required for the works.
Unless specifically stated within the quotation:

  • Fitted cupboards will not be removed or reinstated.
  • Pipework boxing-in is excluded.
  • Decorating is excluded.
  • Floor coverings may need to be lifted to gain access.
  • Re-stretching carpets and reinstating certain floor finishes are excluded.
  • Additional costs may apply where access restrictions or site conditions were not apparent during the survey.

4. Utilities & Services

During the work, it may be necessary to isolate:

  • Water supplies
  • Gas supplies
  • Electrical supplies
    Where possible, notice will be provided, and interruptions kept to a minimum.

5. Timescales & Delays

Any commencement dates or completion dates are estimates only.
Whilst we will use reasonable endeavours to meet agreed timescales, we shall not be liable for delays arising from:

  • Supplier shortages
  • Adverse weather
  • Utility outages
  • Third-party contractors
  • Access restrictions
  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control


6. Materials & Equipment

Ownership of materials remains with CBG Heating until payment has been received in full.
Risk in materials passes to the customer upon delivery.
Where necessary, we reserve the right to supply equivalent products of equal or higher specification.


7. Customer-Supplied Materials

Any products supplied by the customer will be inspected before installation.
The customer remains responsible for:

  • Suitability
  • Compatibility
  • Damage in transit
  • Warranty claims
    Any delays resulting from defective customer-supplied products may incur additional charges.


8. Additional Works

Any works outside the original quotation will be treated as variations.
Additional work will proceed only after agreement on any associated costs.


9. Payments

Payment terms are detailed within the quotation.
Failure to make payment in accordance with the agreed terms may result in:

  • Suspension of works
  • Withholding of documentation
  • Recovery action


10. Hazardous Materials

Our quotations exclude the identification, removal or disposal of hazardous materials, including asbestos, unless specifically stated otherwise.
Where hazardous materials are discovered, additional costs may apply.


11. Gas Safety

Where gas work is undertaken, existing gas installations will be tested for compliance with current Gas Safety Regulations.
Any faults identified may require additional remedial works, which are not included within the quotation unless stated otherwise.


12. Heat Pumps & Renewable Energy Systems

Heat loss calculations, SCOP figures, performance estimates, running cost estimates and energy savings are based upon industry-standard assumptions and information available at the time of design.
Actual performance may vary due to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Energy tariffs
  • Occupancy patterns
  • Building alterations
  • User settings
    For qualifying renewable energy installations, we will provide all documentation required under the MCS Scheme.


13. Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS)

Where a quotation includes a Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant:

  • Eligibility remains subject to Ofgem approval.
  • Grant values may change.
  • Compliance with scheme requirements remains the customer’s responsibility.
    If eligibility is withdrawn, reduced or refused for reasons beyond our reasonable control, the customer remains responsible for the balance of the contract value.


14. Leasehold Properties

Where works are undertaken within a leasehold property, it is the customer’s responsibility to obtain all necessary permissions from the landlord, freeholder, or management company.


15. Children & Pets

The customer must ensure that children and pets are kept away from working areas throughout the duration of the works.


16. Warranty

CBG Heating provides a 12-month workmanship warranty from completion of the works.
Manufacturer warranties are provided separately and remain subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.
The workmanship warranty does not cover:

  • Misuse
  • Lack of maintenance
  • Accidental damage
  • Third-party interference
  • Pre-existing defects


17. Cancellation Rights

Where the customer has a statutory right to cancel, they may cancel within 14 days of contract acceptance.
Where the customer requests that work commence during the cancellation period:

  • The customer expressly authorises us to begin work.
  • Reasonable costs incurred before cancellation may be charged.
  • Cancellation rights may cease where the contract has been fully performed.


18. Complaints

We are committed to providing a high standard of service.
Complaints should be submitted in accordance with our published Complaints Procedure available on our website [LINK] or upon request.
We aim to:

  • Acknowledge complaints within 5 working days.
  • Investigate complaints promptly.
  • Provide a response within 10 working days where reasonably practicable.


19. Privacy

Personal information will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.


20. Consumer Rights

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights.
CBG Heating is a member of the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC).


21. Legal Jurisdiction

The laws of England and Wales shall govern these Terms & Conditions.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
